I’ve always loved taking pictures, having a way of visually documenting my memories is important to me. In 2010 I took an adult learners course at college in Art and part of the course was a Photography module, from the moment I first picked up an SLR I was hooked. I purchased my fujifilm bridge camera (an DSLR was way too expensive for me at the time) and in 2012 purchased my beloved Nikon D3100. Ever since I’ve been on and off trying to pick up my camera and learn but I’d become frustrated quickly when I didn’t quite get it.
Two years ago I had my daughter and documenting memories became even more important and ‘winging it’ just didn’t cut it anymore, so slowly but surely I began to teach myself more and more about my camera and what it was capable of, what I was capable of.
